John Patterson–he was called Pat, but there is a Pat Patterson who comes later, so we’re going to refer to him by his given name–was a late bloomer, but in his case, it’s based on a pretty full historical record. He debuts in 1894, and plays pretty steadily through 1908, and all we’ve done is fill in a couple missing seasons.
