Abe Harrison

Abe Harrison could hit. He didn’t take many walks, but he had some power and hit consistently in all of his historically documented seasons. We’ve filled in the peak of his career, where, you guessed it, he hit. He didn’t have great home run power, but a lot of hits and a decent gap power for sure.

This makes him a bit of an exception to our usually shaping guidelines: Harrison’s missing years are when he was between the ages of 24 and 28, so his MLE is closer to his NeL performance than usual.

Harrison has an outside shot to be among the league leaders in hits in 1894.
