Kid Carter’s career is a baseball cliché: never quite good enough, but was able to put together a single stretch of usefulness, and even one year (in his case, 1903) that was borderline star quality.
His DOB is unknown; we placed it in 1874, making him 24 for his debut, 29 for his best year, and out of baseball by his early 30’s. Decent control and very few HRs, but overall too many hits to ever be a really useful MLB hurler.
