In 1897, Bob Jordan emerged fully formed into the historical record as a 29 year old. He’s a decent example of our goals with the fictional years: we created yearsfrom him from age 20 to 28, made his early 20’s barely passable, and created a reasonable production curve into the historical seasons. All without nudging his career slash line much–the early years balance out the missing peak seasons.
Jordan was a useful hitter and a decent 1B. If anything, he deserves more playing time than we’ve allocated to him.
